Economics Division

The Economic Division of the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Australia (KACCIA) strengthens economic cooperation between Korea and Australia and supports the growth and development of Korean‑Australian businesses. The division is structured as follows:

1. Business Division

• Support the business growth of Korean and Australia‑based Korean enterprises.
• Identify new business models and support business expansion initiatives.
• Promote joint business projects and build cooperative networks among member companies.
• Provide legal procedural and business consulting support.

2. Korea–Australia Trade Division

• Promote trade and economic cooperation between Korea and Australia.
• Support export/import operations and customs procedures.
• Operate trade support initiatives in collaboration with organisations such as KOTRA and OKTA.
• Facilitate Korea–Australia business matching and partnership opportunities.

3. Branch Office Support Division

• Assist Korean companies with establishing branch offices for entry into the Australian market.
• Support Australian market research and business network development.
• Provide legal and regulatory advisory services.
• Support organising export consultation sessions and trade exhibitions.

4. Distribution Division

• Expand distribution networks for Korean SME products in the Australian market.
• Plan online and offline sales strategies (e.g., SHOPSINJOY, Rose Market).
• Support entry into major retail networks such as Costco and Amazon.
• Develop integrated logistics centre operations and delivery optimisation strategies.

5. Business Forum Division

• Hold regular business forums.
• Provide analysis of the latest economic and industry trends and share insights.
• Facilitate networking and collaboration opportunities among member companies.
• Develop business support policies in cooperation with government agencies and institutions.

Korea–Australia Trade Division

The Korea–Australia Trade Subcommittee promotes trade and economic cooperation between Korea and Australia, working to facilitate smooth commerce and expand business opportunities for companies in both countries.

Key Roles and Support Services

• Provide support and consulting for Korean companies entering the Australian market
• Offer advisory services on export/import procedures and customs compliance
• Identify business opportunities by leveraging Korea–Australia trade agreements and frameworks
• Build cooperative networks and facilitate business matching between Korean and Australian companies
• Operate trade support initiatives in collaboration with key organisations such as KOTRA and OKTA
• Assist with entry into major Australian marketplaces (e.g., Costco, Amazon, eBay)

Branch Office Support Division

The Branch Office Support Subcommittee assists Korean companies in successfully entering the Australian market by providing support for branch establishment and operations. It also delivers a stable business environment through market research and network development.

Key Roles and Support Services

• Support Korean companies in setting up and operating branch offices in Australia
• Provide Australian market research and business environment analysis
• Manage local entry risks through legal and regulatory advisory services
• Facilitate business network building and cooperation between Korean and Australian companies
• Promote products and services through export counselling sessions and trade exhibitions
• Connect to local distribution networks and provide tailored business consulting
• Collaborate with government agencies to run overseas expansion support programs for SMEs
• Enable cost savings and business expansion through group purchasing and cooperative models

Distribution Division

The Distribution Subcommittee plays a key role in activating the distribution of Korean small‑business products in the Australian market and establishing efficient logistics systems to build a stable sales network.

Key Roles and Support Services

• Expand and support distribution channels for Korean SME products in the Australian market
• Plan online and offline sales strategies (e.g., SHOPSINJOY, Rose Market platforms)
• Assist with entry into major retail networks such as Costco, Amazon, and eBay
• Facilitate consignment sales and promotion through Korean and local markets
• Develop logistics centre operations and delivery optimisation strategies
• Diversify local distribution networks and sales channels
• Promote sales through digital marketing and promotional activities
• Leverage group purchasing and collaborative networks to reduce costs

Business Forum Committee

The Business Forum Committee serves as a platform to strengthen networking among Korean businesses, share the latest economic and industry trends, and facilitate meaningful business collaboration.

Key Roles and Support Services

• Facilitate networking through regular business forum events to connect member companies and stakeholders.
• Provide analysis of the latest economic and industry trends and share relevant insights.
• Organise seminars and panel discussions with invited government officials and business leaders.
• Create opportunities for collaboration and joint initiatives among member companies.
• Host education and workshop sessions to strengthen business capabilities.
• Offer opportunities related to Korea–Australia economic cooperation and investment attraction.
• Operate mentoring and support programmes for startups and small businesses.

The Korean Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KACCIA) is committed to enhancing the welfare of its members by offering a variety of benefits. • Airline and Travel Agency Partnerships: Through partnerships with airlines and travel agencies, we provide discounted airfare for travel between Australia and Korea, as well as a variety of other travel benefits, including discounts on hotel accommodations, resort packages, and guided tours.

3. Member Financial Product Development

• Tailored Financial Products: In partnership with financial institutions in Australia, we offer members special interest rates and exclusive benefits on savings accounts and investment products.

4. Inclusion of Members’ Families

• We expand welfare benefits not only for individual members but also to include immediate family members, so the entire family can enjoy the advantages of membership.

5. Integrated Welfare Platform

The Cultural Events Subcommittee aims to foster a harmonious relationship between the local economy and culture, laying a cultural foundation where businesses and the community can grow together. Its vision is to create an environment where corporate activities and arts & culture coexist, contributing to community development while fulfilling corporate social responsibility.
